About MIAAA

Partnering to uplift
Minnesota’s Elders

At the Minnesota Indian Area Agency on Aging, we walk alongside Tribal Nations to strengthen the systems that support Native elders. We collaborate with communities and agencies to promote holistic care that honors ceremony, belonging, memory, and place in recognition that these are just as essential to health and well-being as the physical aspects of aging.

OUr Mission

Our Mission

The Minnesota Indian Area Agency on Aging (MIAAA) is dedicated to promoting the independence, dignity, and wellbeing of American Indian elders throughout Minnesota. We honor our elders as keepers of wisdom and cultural heritage while ensuring they have access to the services and support they need to age with respect in their communities.
